Amanda Crawford
Amanda is a Partner of Equity Litigation Group.
Amanda has spent her career litigating complex securities cases on behalf of investors. Her practice primarily focuses on class actions and derivative litigation, where she has successfully prosecuted numerous cases that have resulted in obtaining hundreds of millions of dollars in recoveries. Amanda’s experience has included all phases of litigation, from initial investigation to successful resolution.
Highlights of Amanda’s litigation experience includes the following:
- In re Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corporation Stockholders Litigation: Amanda played a key role in the litigation team that achieved a $85 million settlement on behalf of investors in Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corporation in connection with its acquisition of MSG Networks.
- Witmer v. HIG Capital: Amanda was a member of the team that achieved a $45 million settlement on behalf of investors of Surgery Partners in connection with an asset sale, private placement, and preferred stock issuance involving H.I.G. Capital and Bain Capital.
- In re Pivotal Software Inc. Stockholders Litigation: Amanda served as co-lead counsel in the group that achieved a $42.5 million recovery on behalf of former investors in Pivotal Software in connection with VMware’s acquisition of Pivotal Software.
In 2023 and 2024, Amanda was recognized as a Massachusetts Rising Star for her extraordinary work in securities litigation. She is a member of the Women Chancery Lawyers in Delaware and the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts. Prior to starting Equity Litigation Group, Amanda worked as a litigation associate at a plaintiffs’ law firm.
